説明

・Rare antique old Tanto made by Juzan(寿山).

・Authenticated by NBTHK as “Tokubetsu-Hozon”(Specially preserved).

・Juzan was a swordsmith active at the end of the Edo period and is noted for carving the chrysanthemum emblem on the Nakago (stem). He is said to be a descendant of Myouju(明寿), one of the greatest Japanese swordsmiths of all time.

・A magnificent dragon is carved on the front of the blade, which is called Kurikara (倶利伽羅). This represents an incarnation of Fudo Myoo(不動明王), and is meant to ward off evil.

・The blade is very beautiful and the Hamon (blade pattern) is very clearly defined.
