La teneur en carbone y est d&#8217;environ <strong>1,1\u20131,3 %<\/strong>, et la phase principale est la <strong>martensite<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La photo (c) montre la zone en fer doux, qui pr\u00e9sente une structure <strong>ferrite + perlite<\/strong>, la perlite repr\u00e9sentant environ <strong>5\u20138 %<\/strong> de la surface observ\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l&#8217;interface entre l&#8217;acier et le fer doux, des <strong>carbures (probablement Fe\u2083C)<\/strong> sont visibles. Ceux-ci semblent r\u00e9sulter de la diffusion du carbone depuis l&#8217;acier \u00e0 haute teneur en carbone vers le fer \u00e0 faible teneur en carbone, cr\u00e9ant un gradient de concentration en carbone. La couche de tranchant \u00e0 haute teneur en carbone ne s&#8217;\u00e9tend que sur <strong>2\u20133 mm<\/strong> depuis la pointe de la lame, ce qui est relativement court.
